I’m Magdalena, a full-spectrum doula serving Sonoma County and the surrounding area.
My path to birth work began at age 6 when I had the privilege of being present for the birth of my younger sister. My mom gave birth under the care of midwives on our living room couch. From that time on, I was absolutely captivated by everything pregnancy, birth, and newborn related. Today, in addition to my work as a doula, I am also pursuing a nursing degree and planning to become a certified nurse midwife. My philosophy as a birth professional is blending holistic and ancient wisdom with evidence-based care. To read more about me, click the button below!
I primarily focus on providing Medi-Cal (Medicaid) funded support through our state funded doula benefit program. I am in network for all Medi-Cal plans in Sonoma and Marin counties.
I am also in network for:
Kaiser Permanente health plans (no copay)
HealthNet (no copay)
I accept HSA and FSA funds, or paying out of pocket and am happy to work out alternative payment plans if needed.

Magdalena took the time to help me comprehend the entire process, and she has continued to be a significant support as I navigate my daughter's thyroid condition. Having Magdalena with me was and still is exactly what I needed—her nurturing, loving support has made me come to see her as a sister.
